Bass Bags

A 'Bass' bag is a convenient way of storing your fish, the bag is designed for the purpose of keeping your fish cool and fresh. When you have caught fish and placed them in the bass bag, dip the bag in the water then place it in a shady place (e.g. under a tree or bush). The water evaporates in the shade and cools the fish. (repeat every half hour).
The purpose of this is to keep the meat fresh. Leaving the fish in the water in summer can mean the temprature at the margins reaching 90 degrees F and this can easily begin to parboil your fish and make the flesh un-palletable. Cool bags with a couple of freezer blocks are the best way of keeping your fish fresh in summer.
