![]() Weight Forward Floating Fly Lines
The fly line that you choose should depend on where you plan to fish, for example fishing on Small Still Waters a Weight Forward Floating and a Weight Forward Intermediate line is normally all you need, having an intermediate is not always essential.
On occasions you may also want to have a slow or fast sinking line when there is depth of water to deal with, this keeps the fly at depth.
Another addition you can make to a floating fly line is using Tapered Poly Leaders which come in floating, intermediate, slow sink and fast sink and are available in 5 or 10 foot lengths.
For fishing on rivers with light weight rods you may prefer a double taper line that improves short distance presentation of the fly and is better for roll casting.
